Sarah María Medina

Sarah María Medina´s writing has been published in Poetry Magazine, Prelude, Black Warrior Review, Poetry NW, and elsewhere. Her work is also found in Nepantla: An Anthology Dedicated to Queer Poets of Color (Nightboat Books, 2018), and forthcoming in Queer Nature: A Poetry Anthology, centering LGBTQIA+ voices in a collection of contemporary nature poetry (Autumn House Press, 2022). She is the recipient of an ARTIST UP Grant LAB, a Jack Straw Writer fellowship, a Caldera AIR 2018, and the Black Warrior Review poetry prize. From the American Northwest, she received her MFA in poetry at Washington University, and is currently pursuing her PhD in comparative literature for International Writers at Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri with a focus on anti-neocolonial modes of translation, queer and feminsit theory, transational poetics, and Avant-Garde poetics.
